Earl Evans Hylton

Earl Evans Hylton, 83, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Bandy Hylton; father, Raymond Junior Hylton; infant son and daughter; sisters, Marie Ballou, Mildred Jones, and Dorothy Carr.

Earl is survived by his former wife, Geraldine Hylton; son, Earl Evans Hylton II and wife Robin; daughters, Monica Hylton-Smith, and Kimberly Long and husband Danny; grandchildren, Britny Cromer, Brandi Womack, Trey Hylton, Courtney Hylton, Nicholas Smith, Kennedy Smith, Logan Long; great-grandchildren, Kamden Womack, Katie Womack, Ryleigh Arant; brother, Raymond ‘June’ Hylton and wife Mary; as well as nieces and nephews, Debbie Coleman, Becky Ballou, Randy Jones, and Jerry Carr.

Earl served his country in the military and loved fishing, racing, baseball, and the Redskins. He was a devoted Christian and a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Wallace Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
