Edith Brammer

BRAMMER, Edith Irene Thompson, (1917-2004) 86, of Christiansburg, the widow of Dr. Frank P. Brammer, (1885-1963) died Friday, September 3, 2004. She was born in Floyd, Virginia on September 26, 1917, the daughter of the late John and Lura Thompson.

She is survived by her son, Frank, and by four of eight siblings; Myrtle Mitchel (96), Hassel Thompson (92), Mary Pugh (79), and Aleen Wade (76). Deceased siblings, in order of death, are Curtis Thompson, Gold Thompson, Eva Bishop, and Opal Wirt. She is also survived by her step-daughters; Elizabeth Baker, Eden, NC, Mary Ann Hankins and Mildred Fawcett both of Martinsville, Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at The Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Mrs. Brammer's son, Frank, officiating the service. The interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
