HOBBS, Elbert Lee, 83 of Elliston died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his home with family by his side.
The son to the late William and Beulah Hobbs, he was also preceding in death by his brothers; Willie, Amos, Nathan, Richard, Frank, and one sister; Pauline.
He is survived by his wife; Betty J. Hobbs, children; Sharon Lutz, Frankie Hobbs and his spouse; Betty, and Allen Hobbs, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also surviving are his brother; Dallas Hobbs of Flint Mich., brothers-in-law; Ted Lafon and Joe Lafon, sisters-in-law and spouse; C.F. & Peggy Lucas and Madelyn Wimmer. His loving dog; T.J. also survives him.
The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 5 – 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Lutz officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
