Elizabeth J. 'Betty' Wadovsky

Elizabeth J. Wadovsky, ‘Betty’, of Christiansburg, VA, passed peacefully at home on February 5, 2019.

She was born in Franklin, NJ where she worked for 27 years as an administrative assistant. In her retirement, she and her husband Steve traveled extensively, living in FL, TN, and finally settling in Christiansburg, VA near her daughter.

Betty was an avid reader, animal lover, loved crossword puzzles, traveling with her daughter Karen and staying in touch with lifelong friends and family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve; and numerous four-legged family members. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Wadovsky of Christiansburg, VA, and Sharon Paternester of Sarasota, FL. She leaves her son-in-law, George; close family friends, Donna, Lisa, and Debi; and grand dogs, Buddy and Nina.

We are very grateful to all who took special care of Betty over the past year, specifically Brittany and Jackie of Community Care Solutions, the nursing staff and therapists at the rehabilitation center, and Good Samaritan Hospice.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 8, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 10 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
