Elizabeth Frances Shepherd, 93, of Radford, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
She was born in Montgomery County, VA, to the late Columbus W. Phillips and Millie R. Duncan Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alva Shepherd; and brothers, Herbert Marlin Phillips and Ervin Phillips. She is survived by her sons, Billy Shepherd & wife, Juanita of Salem and Donnie Shepherd & wife Cheryl of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Billy Jr., Jimmy (Tina), Timothy (Paula), Jason (Angie), Ryan, and Tammie (Terry); 7 great-grandchildren; special sister, Pauline Phillips; special friend, Greg Sabat; adopted children, Don and Louise Sumner; and friends, Junior & Diane Booth, Bessie Taylor, and Eric Saylor.
Elizabeth was a faithful, lifetime member of the Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a very special and loving lady to all she knew and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4003 Morning Glory Drive, Radford, with Rev. Nathan Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
