Pettus, Ella Frances Custer, age 89 A lifetime resident of Christiansburg. Mrs. Pettus was a hardworking and well respected lady.
She Retired from Burington Industries with 45 years of service. Then she was employed by Belk, then at Warmhearth in Blacksburg well into her 70’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, husband Nelson Pettus, her sons; Charles Custer and Randall Custer. She will truly be missed by the ones left behind; Grandsons and there spouses; Chuck and Dolly Custer; of Radford, Randy and Rhonda Custer of Myrtle Beach, SC, Great grandchildren; Laura, Beth, Heather, Cydney, Katy, and Bailey Custer Several great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special Niece; Mabel “Tootie” Custer and her daughter; Brooke.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Radford Nursing and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care given to Nannie.
The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home Saturday, January 22, 2011from 3– 6 p.m. The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery, Christiansburg.
