Ellen Vest Garnand

Ellen Vest Garnand, 70, of Riner, Va., passed away Friday, September 2, 2016.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Coye and Evie Vest. She is survived by her husband, Douglas ‘Mac’ Garnand; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas ‘Dale’ Garnand and wife Stephanie; daughter, Dana Garnand; two grandchildren, Lauren and Joshua Garnand; brother-in-law and sister, Raymond and Helen St. Clair; special nephew, Brad St. Clair and wife Lisa St. Clair; and great-nephews, Elijah and Carter St. Clair.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Buford Linkous and Rev. Brian Turpin officiating. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, Va.
