Emma Lee Moses, 86, of Christiansburg went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2019.
She was a daughter to the late German and Ruby Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her brother, G.S. Lawrence and two sisters, Madeline Hall and Pauline Proffitt.
Emma Lee married the love of her life on December 20, 1952. They raised two children and spoiled two grandchildren. Nelson and Emma lived almost inseparable for 66 years.
Emma was a devoted homemaker. She loved any kind of craft, sewing, crocheting and quilting. During the warmer months, she enjoyed planting flowers, taking pride in her rose bushes, and making her flower beds come to life. She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church, where she often volunteered.
Emma is survived by her loving husband, Nelson; children, Dale Moses, Teresa Martin (Bernard); grandchildren, Chelsea Bradbury and Malachi Linkous; and great-granddaughter, Jacie Linkous.
Emma was truly cherished and loved by many. She was a kind, compassionate woman with a good sense of humor, yet stern when she needed to be. She touched many lives and will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
