Erica Lauren Jones

Erica Lauren Jones, 23, of Shawsville, Virginia, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. She was known for her artistic talent playing the piano, clarinet, and violin as well as her career as a cosmetologist. She was well travelled living in Minnesota, North Carolina, Illinois and Indiana but she always considered her home the mountains of Virginia. Her greatest gift was making everyone she met feel like a true friend.

Her loving family includes her mother, Melissa (John) Foster; her father, Brian (Ginger) Jones; siblings, Isaac Jones and step sister Caitlin Foster; grandparents, Mary (Bill) Pleasants, Shirley and Clayton Jones; aunts and uncles, Brent and Deana Jones, Timmy and Drema Foster, Margaret and Allen Sisson and cousins, J.T. Foster, Christopher, Adam, Kendall, and Scarlett Sisson. She also leaves behind numerous friends and communities in love with her infectious smile and personality.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather David Foster; her aunt, Kim Jones and uncle Michael Foster and great grandparents, Isley and Bessie Jones, Raymond and Frannie McMillan, Ernest and Gertrude Willis, Clinton and Ruby Foster.

Funeral services will be held at Crockett Spring United Methodist Church in Shawsville, VA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017. With burial at Piedmont Cemetery in Shawsville.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the Eastern Montgomery High School band.
