Helms, Jr., Ervin Elliott, 84, of Christiansburg passed away on May 20, 2010. He was the owner/president of Montgomery County Steel Corporation in New Jersey. He was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of New Jersey Masons for a number of years. He was born to the late Ervin Elliott Helms, Sr. and Nora Price Helms.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn L. Helms; brothers and sisters, James Curtis Helms, Phyllis Humphries, Richard Lee Helms, Sammy Helms.
Mr. Helms is survived by daughter, Ellyn Buglovsky; grandchildren, Benjamen and Nora; sisters and brothers, Dorothy Fulks, Rudy Helms and Hilda, Don Helms and Lelia, Maxine Wren and Larry, Pam Clay and Bobby; brother-in-law, Russell Stebar and Toye; former son-in-law, Bruce Buglovsky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Horne Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Mark Peterson officiating.
Interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
