Euel Lee Hale Sr., 84, of Dublin, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Born in Floyd, VA, on June 4, 1933, he was the founder and owner of E L Hale Trucking. His CB handle was “Blue Goose” and his sons were his faithful helpers.
Euel was the son of the late Hermon and Clara Mae Hale. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dollie C. Hale; four sons, Lee Hale Jr. and wife Valerie, Dwight Hale, Samuel Hale, and Scottie Hale and wife Christina, all of Dublin; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lovern and husband Curtis of Christiansburg; brother, J P Hale of Draper.
Euel was loved and cared for by many special friends at Highland Ridge Rehab.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 11 a.m. to noon at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held directly after in the Chapel, with Brother Tommy Ramsey (a faithful friend) and Brother Craig Strain officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery, Shawsville. After the service, the family will be meeting at Scottie and Christina Hale’s home on Dunlap Road in Dublin.
