Evans Paul Gardner

Evans Paul Gardner, 75, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2015. Paul was born on November 6, 1939 to the late Claude and Margaret Gardner. He was also preceded in death by his daughters, Tabitha Gardner and Rebecca Thornton; and son, Richard Gardner.

Paul is survived by his wife of 41 years, Frances; daughters, Ruth Carroll and her husband, Brian, and Teresa Gardner; two grandchildren, Jessee Gardner and Laura Carroll; sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Jim Bennett; nieces, Lisa and Diane; brothers-in-law, Wayne Quesenberry and wife Reda, and Frank Quesenberry; special cousin, Howard Gardner; as well as other extended family and friends.
Paul worked at the Lynchburg Foundry for 35 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Johnston and Pastor Ben Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery.
