Evelyn Elaine Simpson

Evelyn Elaine (Farmer) Simpson, 83, of Radford passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. She was born on December 3, 1937 to the late Oak and Mary Farmer. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rocky Giles.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rita Vicars and Renee Roop and special daughter-in-law, Sara Giles; grandchildren, Josh Roop, C.J. Roop, Jubal Giles and special granddaughter Tosha Mosier (Jermere Mosier). Her great grandchildren include Elijah Simpson, Mekih Martin, Zendaya Mosier, Harmony Roop, Rhythm Roop, and Liam Wheeler. Evelyn also leaves behind her special friend, Wanda Smith and Melissa Webb as well as many other special friends and family members.

She loved so much her special dog and cat, Fritz and Bubba.

The family wishes to thank the CCU staff at Carilion New River Valley Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the ASPCA.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 pm in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
