Exalee Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM, EXALEE WOOLWINE, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2005 while at home in the Childress area of Montgomery County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cunningham, Sr. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Melissa Cunningham, Jr. of Christiansburg and Marcus and Christina Cunningham of Pulaski; daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Cunningham of Lynchburg; and Joyce and Allen Bain of Christiansburg. She has eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Ethel Altizer of Salem and Mary Sumner of Christiansburg as well as nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to friends and neighbors for their care and assistance, especially in recent weeks.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, with her grandsons, Eric Cunningham and A. J. Bain officiating. The Cunningham Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
