Florence Louise Stokes

Florence Stokes of Christiansburg, went to the Lord on January 4, 2015. Mrs. Stokes was born in Newark, New Jersey on July 26, 1920. She lived in Morris Plains, NJ. Mrs. Stokes was a dedicated School Guard/Matron for 35 years. She was preceded in death by Elmer Stokes, Sr., her husband of 39 years.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Lane of Piscataway, NJ; brother, George Stewart of Parsippany, NJ; three children, Jane Gilbertson (Richard) of Flemington, NJ, Elmer Stokes, Jr. (Patricia) of Ellenton, FL, and Florence MacLeod (Robert) of Christiansburg, VA; seven granddaughters, Wendy Wilds of Flemington, NJ, Patricia Gazzillo (Anthony) of Hellertown, PA, Dawn Burke (Colin) of Easton, PA, Kimberly Potts (Matthew) of Souderton, PA, Stacy Deremer (David) of Copper Hill, VA, Linda Damiano (Scott) of Parsippany, NJ, Heather Anderson (Don) of Christiansburg, VA; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She loved all of them dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held in the spring at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, NJ.
