Jones, Floyd Dean, age 87, of Christiansburg passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005.
He was born and raised in Fries, VA but has lived in Christiansburg for the past forty years. He was a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church. He was a building contractor in Galax, Christiansburg, and Blacksburg for over forty years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Davis Jones; son, Kenneth Gene Jones; daughter, Deanna J. Adams; sister, June Coleman; and brother, Scott Jones. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Sandra L. Jones of Salem; grandsons, Kenneth S. Jones and wife, Sharon of Roanoke; Tony S. Adams of Roanoke; granddaughters, Laura J. Fizer and husband, Darel of Salem; Holly A. Grimm and husband, Ed of Roanoke; four great grandchildren, Dusty Fizer, Emerald Grimm, Morgan Grimm, Taylor Jones; brother, Willie Bruce Jones of Fries; and three nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dusty Etter officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the Bible Baptist Church, 710 Church Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073. The Jones Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg (382-2612).
