TEEL, FRED EDGAR, 92, of Christiansburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2011.
He was born February 1, 1918, in Floyd, Va. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Ethel Duncan Teel, and his son, Leonard Teel. He is survived by his son, Donald Teel of Christiansburg; his daughter Irene T. Hodges of Hilton Head SC; 4 grandchildren, Clifton Hodges, Constance Gordan, Heather Teel and Bernie Hodges, as well as 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He served in WWII from 1944-1946 and retired from RAAP after 31 years of service. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Horne Funeral Service, with the funeral service being held on Friday, February 4, 2011, at 11 am at the Christiansburg Church of Christ, with Mr. Dennis Curd officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
