Freida Levon Furrow (Squeaky)

Freida Levon Furrow ‘Squeaky’, of Elliston, passed away on January 9, 2023. She was born on October 21, 1938 to the late Edward Eugene and Oveda Bryant Wheeling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 year, Charlie Furrow; sisters, Kathy Nester, Loretta Furrow, Phyllis Bowles, and Juanita Dowdy; and son-in-law, Danny Combs.
Squeaky is survived by her daughter, Tonya Combs-Mills and son-in-law, J.R. Mills; grandchildren, Evan Combs (Beth), Shawn Combs; step-grandchildren Henry, Kyle, and Charlie Mills; great-grandchildren, Taylor, London, and Dani-Rae Combs; and step-great granddaughter, Seraphina Mills. She will also be missed by her sisters, Dorothy Bowles, Margaret Hall (Bobby), Ruby Lutz; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Squeaky enjoyed many things – Nascar, working in her flower beds, crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, and going shopping with her daughter.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Gearheart Cemetery, Elliston.
