Epperly, Garland Wilson, 75, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County on March 31, 1933 to the late Posey and Lula Hixon Epperly.
He was also preceded in death by his wife Connie Howell Epperly and brothers, Raymond and Leonard Epperly. He was employed by Wal Mart, attended Northfork Baptist Church, and bowled on the Golden Years League.
He is survived by his children: Garland Wilson (Russ) Epperly, Jr., Anthony Ray (Tony) Epperly and Teresa, Tammy Epperly Keith and husband Darren, and Teresa Epperly Ridgeway; grandchildren: Zachery Stephen Meller, Hunter Ray Keith, Issak Lee Keith, Joshua Dane Keith, and Angel Epperly; brothers: Garnette (Tiney) Epperly, Luther Epperly, Ray Epperly, and Robert Epperly; sisters Delores Epperly and Ruby Epperly Cupp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2009 from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Brugger officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the funeral home.
