Gary Francis Talkington

Gary Francis Talkington, 69, of Christiansburg, passed away on September 21, 2017. Gary was retired from the Army after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Ann Zimmerman Talkington; son, Ronald D. Talkington; and parents, William Francis and Leoma Faye Talkington.

Gary is survived by his son, Michael Talkington; brothers, Ervin Talkington and Daniel Danne Talkington; sisters, Patricia McCartney and Karen Toothman; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 24, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Rev. Charles DeHart officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
