Gene Thomas

Gene Thomas, 82, of Riner passed away on November 25, 2022. He was the best husband and dad ever! He was known to many people in town by selling his fresh vegetables at the Christiansburg Stockpin. Gene was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Adam Hutchins. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda Thomas; children, Bryan Thomas, Shawn Thomas, and Crystal Hutchins; grandchildren, Katelyn Wallace, Christian Thomas, Shawn Thomas Jr., Iassac Hutchins, Jazmin Hutchins and Jaden Hutchins; great grandchildren, Levi Joseph Wallace, Sawyer Lee Wallace, Ellie Jane Wallace and his dogs, Buddy and Abbie. Visitation will be on Monday, November 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
