Glada Mae (Dickerson) Dulaney

February 27, 1927 — July 13, 2021

Glada Mae (Dickerson) Dulaney passed away on July 13, 2021 after a short illness. She was 95 years old.
Glada was born on February 27th, 1927 to Clayton and Ora Dickerson. She moved to Radford to work at the Ribbon Mill and then Inland Motor, where she continued to work until she was 75. She married J. Russell Dulaney in 1950 and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Glada is survived by her sister Goldie Dickerson of Roanoke, VA.
Glada was predeceased by her husband Russell in 2011, and her brother Hayden Dickerson. She is additionally survived by her Goddaughter Liberty (Boor) Hall and her husband Randy and grand-Goddaughters Violet and Ruby.
In her many decades of work at Inland Motor, Glada cherished her time with her dear friends and co-workers. She and Russell enjoyed driving trips around Virginia and to Gatlinburg. They were devoted to each other and to their friends and family. They loved children, especially the Boor children, whom they treated as family. Glada enjoyed cooking and baking and kept those around her happily fed. She was always beautifully
dressed and had a timeless fashion sense. After she retired, Glada still rose early each morning and walked down at Bisset Park. She drove her little red truck around the New River Valley until her 93rd birthday and remained an independent woman to the end. She was an amazing person who will be missed by all who knew her.
