LOCKETT, GLORIA JEAN KINDER, of Riner, VA, departed this life on Monday, August 22, 2005.
She was born in Twilight (Boone County), West Virginia on December 4, 1941 to the late Burlin Edward and Sylvia Jean Miller Kinder.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of 43 years, Robert Smith Lockett, Jr.; two sons, Robert Smith Lockett, III and his wife, Mayra, and beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Lockett, of Atlanta, GA; Edward Lee Lockett of Riner, VA; mother-in-law, Mrs. Rhoda Lee Felty Lockett Davis of Blacksburg, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Stephanie Lockett of Riner, VA; and sister-in-law, Sharron Callahan of North Port, FL. Also, survived are a special aunt, Mrs. Wavie Harper of Madison, WV; cousins, Joyce Moore, Ralph Aker, Wilma Aker, Frankie Arnold, Lisa Stone and Amy Sharp of Wytheville, VA; and very special friends, The Dennis and Glenda Jenkins Family of Dallas, TX.
Jean loved to travel and, prior to retiring in Riner, VA, spent most of her adult life in Dallas, TX area where she was an avid golfer, soccer player, and a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. She especially loved her two dogs, Luke and Suzy.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 26 at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, VA. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with a short graveside service conducted at the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
