HARRIS, GRACE TURNER, age 81, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 8, 2004. She was born January 20, 1923 in Franklin County to the late Flemon and Martha Turner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Newton Harris, seven brothers and sisters. She retired after twenty-three years of service with Montgomery Furniture.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Winfred & Joyce Harris of Christiansburg; Curtis Preston Harris of Radford, and Marie & Steve Howard of Christiansburg. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Teresa & Mark Patrick of Christiansburg, Curtis & Teresa Harris of Giles County, Randy & Roberta Harris of Montgomery County, John P. & Angie Harris of Floyd and Angie & Shane Robins of Roanoke; one brother, George Turner of Bassett and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren with Rev. Don Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery.
