Hallie Terry

TERRY, HALLIE M., age 83, of Christiansburg, precious wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, joined our Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 16, 2005. Her family, church family, and friends will cherish the memories of her special smile, warmth and love for everyone, steadfast faith in the Lord, and strength in dealing with many years of pain without complaint. Born August 26, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Bud and Rose Bell Shepherd and preceded was in death by two infants. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Christiansburg.

Hallie is survived by her husband, Cecil D. Terry, with whom she shared 67 years of genuine love; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Franklin D. Terry of Hardy; Calvin E. Terry and wife, Sherry of Christiansburg. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mitzie Marcinak and husband, Larry; Michigan; Melissa Gunnoe and husband, Dale, South Carolina; Frank Terry and wife, Angela, Montea; Sean Terry and wife, Krista, Radford. Mrs. Terry was also blessed with five great-grandchildren; Nicole, Nathaniel, Hannah, Hallie and Karley. Two brothers, Garfield and Levon Shepherd, and two sisters, Barbara Ratliff and Helen Warner. The family appreciates the loving care Mrs. Terry received from the staff at the Radford Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and love and support from her church family.

Flowers will be appreciated or those wishing may make memorial contributions to Bible Baptist Church, 710 Church Street, Christiansburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 18 at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dusty Etter officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The Terry Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
