Hazel Moore

Moore, Hazel A. (Davis), 76, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Susie and Earnest C. Davis; brothers, "Little" Paul Davis, Willard Davis, Ranny Davis, and Earnest (Big June) D. Davis. She also was preceded by her sisters, Juanita Davis and Elizabeth Thompson; a son, Paul L. Wood; granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Snyder; and husband, Sammy P. Bowles, Sr.

Mrs. Hazel Moore is survived by her daughters, Linda Wood, of New Castle, Sandra Snyder and husband, Kevin, of Riner; sons, Henry Davis and Sammy P. Bowles, Jr., of North Carolina; brothers, Frank Davis and wife, Florence, of Roanoke, Kenneth Davis and wife, Sheila, Douglas Davis and wife, Barbara, and McArthur Davis and wife, Nina, all of New Castle; and a sister, Alene East and husband, Caleb, of Maurestown, VA. Also surviving are her 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and special friends, Debbie and Sammy Simmons and B.B. McPherson.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 19 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Eddie Gallimore and Pastor Jay Law officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Rd, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
