Hobert L Mills Sr.

On May 13, 2020, Hobert L. Mills Sr., formerly of Shawsville Va, most recently living with his daughter in Salem Va, age 83, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ never to suffer again. He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, papa, and friend. Family was especially important to Hobert as was evident to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by wife of 48 years, Barbara Wood Mills; his parents, Thomas Henry Mills and Dania Sheppard Mills; brothers, James Jones and William (Billy) Mills; sisters Audrey Roop, Christine Dudley, and Lucille McDaniel. He is survived by children, Regina M. Martin and spouse, Richard A. Martin, and Hobert L. Mills, Jr. and spouse, Tonya Combs-Mills; grandchildren, Henry Lee Mills and wife Regina Wu Mills, Kyle Brandon Mills, Ryan Thomas Martin, Charles Lester Mills, Evan Daniel Combs, and Shawn Alex-Zandar Combs; great grandchildren Taylor Daniel Combs and London Leeann Combs; brothers (brothers-in-law) and sisters (sisters-in-law), Willie Mae and Luther Spencer, Trudy and J.D. Worrell, Shirley and Butch Yates, Freddie Mills, Gene and Mary Wood, Lilly Blankenship, Edna Wood, Freeda Mills, and Buddy McDaniel. Many, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and church family he loved dearly.

Because of the current restrictions, there will be a private family graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, VA. with Pastor Ryan Linkous and Pastor Simon Jones.
