COX, HOMER CLAYTON, age 78, of Christiansburg passed away at his home Monday, May 2, 2005.
Mr. Cox was the owner/operator of Homer Cox Ford for 23 years. During his tenure he was closely involved with many associations of the Ford Motor Company. He was a long standing member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was the son of the late Ridgely C. Cox and Louise Gibson Cox.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Georgia E. Cox of Christiansburg; son, Michael Cox of Napa, CA; grandson, Marshall Cox; cousins in Maryland and Colorado; brother-in-law and spouse, Daniel ?Bud? & Sylvia Epperly of Huffville; sisters-in-law, L. Z. Wimmer of Salem; Kate King of Floyd; Jane McKee of Tampa, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Reverend David Goodpasture officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
