Iris Gwinn King Radford Angle, 92, of Radford, VA, made her journey to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born in Floyd County on January 27, 1929 to the late Wallace C. and Pauline Akers King. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Alvin Radford; her second husband, Charles S. “Sam” Angle; a son, Terry Joe Angle; brothers, Earl King and Lane Wimmer; and sisters, Audrey Brown and Mary Ann Peters.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna (David) Muhly; sons, Rodney (Patti) Radford and Kelly (Susan) Angle; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Sid Wimmer, Richard Wimmer, and John King; sister, Sarah Quesenberry; numerous other family and friends; two special neighbors, Daniel and Mary Buckner; and companions, Leona Thompson and Jean Wright.
She was a long-time member of Belview United Methodist Church, loved her flowers, gardening, flea markets, Goodwill, collectibles, board games, cards, and Bingo, had a unique sense of humor, enjoyed taking care of and giving to others, and most of all was proud of her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Belview United Methodist Church, 3619 Onyx Dr., Radford, VA 24141. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Stonewall Cemetery in Floyd. A procession will leave by 1:00 pm from Horne Funeral Service to go to the cemetery.
