Perdue, Rev. Jack, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 19, 2004.
Rev Perdue was preceded in death by his parents, Norma A. and Reva Sarver Perdue; son, Jack L. Perdue, Jr.; granddaughter, Lori Reise and sister, Nadine Cox. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Dorothy Pendry Perdue of Christiansburg. Son and wife, M. Stephen and Jean Ross Perdue of Midwest City, OK; granddaughter, Elisabeth of Midwest City; grandson, Lance and wife, Judith of Chicago, IL; sister, Treva Perdue Toothman of Christiansburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kelly and Sally Clemmons Perdue of Springfield, VA; Ted & Dot Basham Perdue of Dumfries, VA; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His extended family include his mother-in-law, Ruth Pendry; brother-in-law, Orville Pendry and sister-in-law, Marjorie Travis all of Elliston. Rev. & Mrs. Perdue pastored churches in Shawsville, VA; Rockingham, NC; Hemingway, SC; St. Albans, WV; and Christiansburg, VA. He was a wonderful example of Christian love to all he came in contact with.
Funeral services will be on Monday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Christiansburg Pentecostal Holiness Church on Phlegar Street with Rev. Richard Kingrea, Rev. Kenneth Fogus, Mr. Tom Bishop, Rev. Larry Meadows, Mr. Walter Lampley, Mr. Lance Perdue, Rev. Steve Perdue and Rev. Kenneth Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in the Hall?s Cemetery in Ironto. Friends may call anytime after 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the church where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 176; Christiansburg, VA 24068.
