James Edward 'Eddie' Atkinson

James Edward Atkinson, 62, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elaine T. and Elvin E. Atkinson.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Diana R. Atkinson; sons Drew Atkinson (Faith), Jared Atkinson; grandchildren, Eli River Atkinson and Harper Willow Atkinson.

He loved blues music, photography, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and UVA. James enjoyed golfing with his buddies but mostly he loved spending time with his family. He was someone who could always make you laugh – we will miss him so much.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2018, from 6-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
