James 'Jim' "Corky" Corcoran

James “Corky” Corcoran of Christiansburg, VA passed away on February 8,2024 at the age of 86. James is

formerly of Berlin and Ocean City New Jersey. Son of the late Maria Alice (nee Morris) and William Francis Corcoran; brother William Francis “Bill” Corcoran.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Nan Jean Corcoran (nee May). Devoted father of James Corcoran (Kim), Sean Corcoran (Aimee) Scott Corcoran (Heather). Proud grandfather of James (fiancée Kristin), Christopher (fiancée Adriana), Desiree (fiancé Michael), William, Ethan, Daniel, Jacob, Andrew, Matthew, Thomas; great-grandfather to James Patrick. Sister Barbara Maguire: Dear brother-in-law of Frank May (Marie)and Eugene May (Patt). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Jim was a star football player at Lower Camden County Regional High School, and played semi pro ball with the Berlin Bears. Jim served in the United States Army from 1958-1961. For 40 years Jim worked at Western Electric/AT&T, he was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Mershon Family Association. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 5:30 pm at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 475 Clearview Dr, Christiansburg VA 24073.
