James McPeak

McPeak, James “Matt”, 25, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. He worked in the family business along side his father in Christiansburg, VA. He was a devoted father, a die-hard Hokie and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Lovins and Louis Linkous; and his grandmother, Linda I. Duncan.

He is survived by his children, Eion William McPeak and Abbigail Vinese McPeak; father and step-mother, Tracy and Regina McPeak; mother and step-father, Teresa I. and John Austin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gina L. and Eric Riddle, Krystal A. and Brandon Snellings, Michelle and Josh Quillen, Sierra I. and Justin Burcham, Brittany N. McPeak; step-brother, Josh Cunningham; grandparents, Douglas and Mable Puckett, Monnie E. Lovins, Ina Linkous, Patricia A. Linkous, Jonathan L. McPeak (Ran), and Fred and Colden Duncan; aunts and uncles, James and Sharon McPeak, Steve and Joanie McPeak, Earne and Sherri McPeak, Billy and Stephanie McPeak, Gail and Bruce Wells, Karen and Vance Durrance, Stephen and Angela Duncan, Janet and Preston Strader, Obie Linkous, Charles and Sandra Linkous and Sandy and Jerry Kinney; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Steve and Tish Glosh (Momma T.) and Junior Addison, his best friend, Kevin Glosh.

The family will receive friends from 5p.m.-8p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Neal Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to a fund that is being set up for Matthew’s children; Tracy McPeak, 1335 Elk Drive, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
