James Cleve Weddle, Jr. ‘Jimmy’, of Narrows, passed away peacefully at his home in the arms of his loving wife, Brenda, on November 11, 2020.
He was born in Christiansburg on December 15, 1947, to the late J. C. and Marie Weddle. In addition to his loving wife Brenda, he leaves his memory to be cherished by children - son, James Cleve Weddle III ‘Jamie’ and his wife Becky, Andrea Weddle ‘Sissy’, Dylan Weddle, Ashley Roberts, and Travis Roberts; sister, Pat Rony and husband Karl; grandchildren, Whitney Dunbar and husband Jacob, Henry Hall and wife Kelsey, Luke Hall and wife Barrett, Clay Weddle and wife Casey, Seneca Bower, and Deleah Weddle; great-grandchildren, Elijah and McKenzie Dunbar, Colton and Emberly Weddle, and Beau Hall. Two of his favorites to tease were his niece and nephew, Makayla Puzio and Jason Rony.
Jimmy was an avid fisherman. He and Brenda had many memorable fishing trips. Despite his very large statue, Jimmy was a gentle giant. He spent a lot of time ducking, although when it came down to it, he showed strength and courage to stand tall and do the right thing.
Our family wishes to thank Carilion Hospice for all of their love and support, Pastor Kevin Weaver, a host of friends and family, and special neighbors, Snake and Drema Hale.
Services for Jimmy will be private.
