Jane Burks Moore

Jane Burks Moore, age 65 of Christiansburg, VA passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Burks; twin brother, James Burks; and niece, Mercy Scales. She is survived by her husband, Gratton Moore; daughter, Charlene Randolph; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Diane Burks; sister, Karen “Candy” Burks; granddaughters, Aniyah James, and Cielle Randolph; grandsons, Jrue Randolph, and Jace Randolph; nephews, James Burk, jr., and Brian Burks; nephews, Ronald Burks, Devay Burks, and BJ Burks; along with many cousins and her extended family in Richmond, Ohio, and Texas. Jane was a factory worker at Don Kenny for many years until she left there to take care of her mother. She attended Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served on the usher board. She loved spending time with family, especially her four grandchildren. She loved nature and enjoyed being outside working and planting in the yard. Special thanks to Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, doctors, nurses, CNA'S and therapists along with Reston Medical Center Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Lee Suggs, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Schaeffer Cemetery.
