On November 28, 2023, Janet Hendrickson Booth of Radford, Va. passed peacefully to her eternal savior at age 91 after a year long battle with dementia. Janet was born September 18, 1932 in McDowell County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Frank and Sylvia Hendrickson. She was the oldest of their five children. Janet worked at the Radford Arsenal for three decades in Property Administration and paycheck distribution. She also volunteered for the City of Radford Board of Elections. Janet enjoyed her Bridge nights with friends, visiting the Ozarks, and baking her famous Christmas apple cakes. Janet is survived by son David and daughter in law Tracy of Asheville, NC, son Daryl, grandchildren Regan Booth, Caleb Booth, Miles Ailstock, Mark Ailstock, Jace Miller Booth, and Jon Maveric Booth, and great grandchildren Monroe, Leonidas, and Crisanthi. Janet was preceded in death by John Harlan Booth Jr., and special friend Frank Brown. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Highland Ridge Rebab Center in Dublin, Va. for the compassionate care she received there for the past several years. A viewing will be held at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, Va. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 between 12:00 and 12:30, to be followed by a graveside service at 1:00 at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va.
