Janet Bower

Janet Bower, 73, of Christiansburg, passed away with her son by her side on Monday, April 30, 2018.

Janet retired from 30+ years at Kroger. She loved her family and her dogs which she considered family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bertha Thompson Blankenship. She is survived by her son, David Bower; grandchildren, Michael Allen Bower and Seneca Bower; great-grandchild, Shilow Bower; and uncle, Teddy Blankenship.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Anyone wishing to go in process with the family to the cemetery please be at Horne Funeral Home by 10 a.m.
