Janet Lee Giovanetti

Janet Lee Giovanetti, 67 of Christiansburg, passed away March 29, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Anthony Giovanetti, Jr.; parents, Fritz and Natalie Taubel; and sister, Carol Evans.
Janet is survived by her sons, Ralph Anthony Giovanetti, III (Angie Petersheim), Dominic Albert Giovanetti (Ashley); daughter, Jacqualine Marie Brizendine (Joey); grandsons, Julian, Arie, Ralph Giovanetti; granddaughters, Peper, Zoey, Dixie, Ashlynne Brizendine; sister, Helen Cheadle (Dennis Blankenship); nephews and nieces, Eric and Jef Evans, Becky Tamashasky, Matt Cheadle, and Lisa Sabatini.
Janet, affectionately known as Nan, was one of the truly good souls left in the world.  Of all of the days the Father of Love could bring her home, He chose Good Friday.  Although Friday didn't feel good at all for the multitude of people whom Janet loved, maybe we can understand that it was a perfect day for her because now she is in our hearts forever known as a good person,
She was the most loving mother, grandmother, mentor and friend anyone could hope to have in their life.  Janet was accepting and sincerely caring of everyone around her.  She enjoyed having huge family dinners at her home on Sundays.  Everyone was always invited.  She loved having a huge family, chatting, gardening, watching the children play, kayaking, and anything outdoors.  Janet had a super healing touch and was the best at giving shots - you would never feel a thing!
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 3-4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.  A funeral Services will begin at 4 p.m. in the  Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
