Janice Lynn Upham, age 71, graduated from the tests and trials of this life on earth to the glory of heaven on May 25, 2024. She has temporarily left behind to complete their work here on earth her two daughters, Audra, Kimberly and husband Jack; granddaughter, Lauren, brothers, Ed, Evan, Jimmy, and Sam; as well as sister, Monique; Mom, Carolyn; and husband of 19 years, Don. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joy.
Janice was born in Akron Ohio, but grew up in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Huntsville, Alabama, and Huntington Beach, California following the career of her father as an Aero Space Engineer, eventually serving as Director of the Delta Rocket Program.
Janice worked for 40 years as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, and X-ray tech in California, Arizona, and Virginia.
She is most remembered by friends and family as having a quick smile and lots of energy, even up until the last several weeks of her five-year battle with cancer and kidney disease. Janice is also noted for her unique oil paintings on hanging slats of wood and making of jewelry and wind chimes out of seashells.
A Celebration of Life and sharing will be held on Sunday June 9, 2024 at The Bridge Four Square Church starting at 2:00.
