Jeffrey 'Scott' Aldridge

Jeffrey “Scott” Aldridge, 56, of Christiansburg, VA, went home to be with Lord and his loved ones in Heaven on Thursday, August 29, 2024. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Oliver and Barbara Howell Aldridge; brother, Richard Aldridge; maternal grandparents, Silas and Ada Howell; paternal grandparents, Velmer D. and Mattie Aldridge; special friends, Tommy, Jane, and Melissa Davis. 

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Grace Aldridge; brothers, Lloyd Aldridge, Doug Aldridge and wife Candace; sister, Deborah Akers and husband Phillip, Jennifer Woods, beloved nieces and nephews; Erin Howard and husband Jonathan, Brian Aldridge, Josh Aldridge and wife Jaime, Ashley Akers, Bradley Akers, Kelly Baker and husband Ryan, Laynie Woods; great-nephews, Walton and Tulson Baker; numerous cousins. 

Scott also leaves behind a daughter in spirit, Ashley Strawn; many special friends, Stephanie, Stephen, Jennifer Davis, Lane Linkous; as well as his beloved pet dog, “Pee-Wee;” cat, ‘Elle’ who brought him cherished companionship and immense love. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 2 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Roy Turpin.  Interment will be on Tuesday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 to go in procession to the cemetery.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Scott’s special nurse, Alice Duncan with Medi Home Health and Hospice, as well as work families at Price Real Estate and Ultimate Touch for their love and support.
