JENNINGS, CLARENCE CHESTER, age 80, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord his Savior on Friday, September 29, 2006 at New River Valley Medical Center.
He was a charter member of Faith Christian Church, where he served as Elder and Trustee for many years. He was a lifetime member of Christiansburg Rescue Squad and a retired employee of Reed Lumber Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Vergie Jennings also several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Kathleen Jennings and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Sunday evening at the Horne Funeral Service. Funeral services will be Monday, October 2nd , at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Mr. Clyde George and Mr. Jones Oliver with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated or contributions may be made to Faith Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 2117, Christiansburg, VA 24068 or the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P.O.
