Jerry L. Dobbins, USMC Ret., of Virginia Beach and formerly Christiansburg, VA, passed away at the Brian Center, Fincastle, VA on September 10, 2010 at the age of 70.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jane; daughters Shelby Tudor and husband Ed of Bradenton, FL; Lesley Leonard and grandson Logan of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by a brother, William Dobbins of Christiansburg, niece Cheryl Hudgins and husband George of Christiansburg, and 3 great nephews.
To celebrate Jerry's life a gathering of friends and relatives will be held Monday, September 13th at the home of George & Cheryl Hudgins, 3477 Thrush Road, Christiansburg, from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Virginia Beach at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of the Brian Center for their care and concern for Jerry during his stay.
