Jimmie Edward Meador Jr.

Jimmie Edward Meador, Jr., 62 of Dublin, VA (formerly of Vinton, VA) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Darlene Meador; his sister, Tammy Rena Meador-Scott; his brother, Riley Edward Meador, II and his niece, Joanie Marie Scott.
Jimmie was a skilled heavy machine operator. He was working for Precision Pipeline in Virginia at the time of his passing.
He was an avid outdoorsman – learning many of his skills from his beloved Papa. He loved all things hunting and fishing. He recently purchased a small boat with great intentions of putting that to good use. He loved to fish at night and was even known to spot a UFO in the process.
Meet Me at the Creek, Billy Strings-33- Jimmie Loved live music and often talked about going to see Billy Strings with his son, Cody and his lifetime friend, “Willy”. Truly an experience he never forgot.
Jimmie was an active member of Freedom Fellowship Church. He always had a story about his Pastor Jerry Collins or his good friend Sammy. He loved his church and those who knew and loved him saw a distinct and definite change in him after he found the Lord. Sometimes known for being miserly, he would frequently feel conviction to give (often his last dollar) to someone who needed it more than he did. There was also a time that he gave away his brand-new fishing rod to a young boy he just met while out fishing one morning.
He will always be remembered through his stories and life lessons he offered out during his time on this earth.

His father, Jimmie Edward Meador, Sr.; son, Christopher Meador and his wife, Ashley; daughter, Erin Goulds and her husband, Jamie; son, Cody Meador; former spouse and close friend, Sherry Meador; brother-in-law, Jimmy Scott. Also left to cherish his memory are uncle, Kenneth Meador and his wife, Linda; nieces, Tiffany Rena Scott and Jasmine Leigh Scott; nephew, Riley Edward Meador, III; grandchildren, Morgan Meador, Riley Meador, Taylor Meador, Eden Goulds, Jace Goulds; fiancée Regina King; her daughter, Lauren King along with daughters Lillian and Emma (Nicknamed the Grandbabies); and cousins, Kenny Meador, Kevin Meador, Dawn Layne, Brittney Layne and Kyler Layne.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 3 pm at Freedom Fellowship Church. 5355 Wilderness Road, Dublin, VA .
Burial will be private.
