John Garner Davis of Christiansburg, VA passed away at his home on Monday, March 11, 2013. He was born on April 21, 1939. John was a member of the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, D.M. and Pearl Davis; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean P. Davis of the home; his sons & daughter-in-law, John B. & Cindy Davis of Christiansburg, and Jeffrey Davis of Sherman Oaks, CA; daughter & son-in-law, Elaine D. & Jared Hamlin of Dalton, GA; granddaughter, Kelley Davis of Christiansburg; grandson and granddaughters, Nathan, Grace, Georgia, and Giana Hamlin of Dalton, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Wesley & Verlie Davis of Roanoke, VA, and Charles Davis of Christiansburg; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church, Roanoke Street, Christiansburg, on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Richard Kingrea officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the memorial service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Youth Dept., Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church, P. O. Box 6264, Christiansburg, VA 24068.
