John Richard Decker Jr.

John Richard Decker Jr., 76, of Christiansburg passed away on July 2, 2023. In the 60’s John’s band, The Critters, produced a couple of national hits. He was retired from the Christiansburg Post Office. John is preceded in death by his father, John Richard Decker. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Ion Decker; sisters & brothers-in-law, Lynne & David Fletcher, Dana & Richard Rodman, and Donna and Lawrence Ortyl; his dog, Brownie and many nieces and nephews. Per John’s wishes there will be no formal services.
