Joseph Christian Biggs

Christiansburg, VA – Joseph Christian Biggs, a beloved partner, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, at the age of 71. 

Born in Metairie, LA, on October 23, 1953, Chris was known for his positive outlook, loving nature, and quick wit. He enjoyed a good chat and was always ready with a smile and a kind word. Chris dedicated 30 years of his life to Morrison’s Cafeteria, where he made many lifelong friends. He later founded Biggs Exterior Cleaning and Lawn Service. Some say he talked more than he worked, but his infectious personality and humor made him a joy to be around. 

After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, Chris passed away peacefully.  He will be deeply missed by his loving partner, Ann Crismond; his sons, Scott and Sean Biggs; his sister, Sandra Biggs; his granddaughter, Ashlee Biggs; and his special niece, Ashley Baltimore.  

A celebration of Chris's life will be held in May 2025. Details will be announced at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, and the Wounded Warrior Project, causes that were dear to Chris's heart
