Joseph Comeau

Joseph E. Comeau, 90, of Blacksburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
For over nine years, Joe resided in the Warm Hearth Village Community in Blacksburg, where he first lived at Showalter Center and recently became a resident at the Kroontje Center.
He had been active in the American Legion, having received several medals for his service in the U.S. Army during WWII. Joe was a member of the Luther Memorial Church in Blacksburg.
Joe was predeceased by his wife, Patricia; and two brothers, Leo and Earl Comeau. He is survived by one brother, Hank Comeau of New Jersey. He is also survived by his son, Glenn R. Comeau and wife Joan from the area, and two daughters, Donna West and husband Dan, and daughter Holly Comeau who live out of the area. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces and nephews who live in several states and localities.
Joe will be fondly remembered for his fun-loving pranks and creative ingenuity. His remains will be cremated and spread in the Atlantic Ocean which he dearly loved. There will be no visitation or funeral service at the family’s request.
