Greer, III, Joseph Walter, 58, of Christiansburg, passed away January 18, 2009. Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph W. and Lola Greer, II, ; sister, Connie Greer; and brother, Bobby Greer.
He is survived by a son, Joseph L. Greer, Draper; wife, Kathleen A. Goldbeck (Greer), Christiansburg; grandchildren, Kaylee Elizabeth Greer and Stone Bradley Greer; aunt and uncles, Sam and Jeannet Callahan, Limestone, TN, and Charles Callahan, Washington D.C.; sisters, Debra and Cathryn, TN; brother, Charles Greer, TN; and many friends and co-workers at the New River Valley Juvenile Detention Home.
A visitation will be held 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Horne Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ted Farmer officiating.
Interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
