Joyce Danelle Dunn

Joyce Dunn, 79, of Elliston, VA passed away at her home on August 24th, 2021 while in hospice care after a battle of end stage COPD, emphysema, and congestive heart failure. She was born on April 8th, 1942.

Joyce enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, reading, going to mountaineer, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching movies, listening to Home Free (Austin mostly), playing with her pets and playing games on her kindle.

Joyce was born to as well as preceded by Sheldon and Ellen Childers. She was also preceded in death by brother, Terry Childers, and her loving ex-husband, Jessie Dunn.

She is survived by daughters, Toni Roberts and Brandi Murphy; step-daughter (who was like a daughter to her), Bonnie Terry; son, Scott Dunn; step-sons, Samuel Dunn and Gary Dunn; grandchildren, Michael Nelson, Douglas Nelson, Dominic Murphy, and Patrick Dunn; great-grandchildren, Christopher Greene, Izabella Nelson, Paislee Nelson, Hannah Nelson, Jackson Nelson, and Haylee Nelson; nephew, Kyle Childers and many cousins far and near.

Her family would like to express huge gratitude to Intrepid Hospice for taking care of Joyce in her journey.
