Joyce Ann Phillips

Joyce Ann Phillips, 72, of Christiansburg went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2024 surrounded by the one thing she lives for, her daughter and grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Pearl Shaver and sisters, Barbara Bullion and Carolyn Moore.  She is survived by her daughters, Missy Mannon and Diane Dalton; her precious grandchildren, Dakoda Wright “Baby Girl”, Gordon Wright, Stevie Mannon and Robbie Mannon; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Reynolds, Shelby Akers (Steve) and Debbie Hall; and nieces and nephews, which she dearly loved each one. 

 We would like to thank Gary and all her many friends she made at Riner Food Center where she was employed for 42 years.  She was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Christiansburg.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Horne Funeral Home.  

 Funeral services will be held at Open Door Baptist Church at noon on Wednesday, April 3 with Rev. Mike Johnston and Rev. Lanny Belcher officiating.  Interment will follow in Roselawn memorial Gardens in Christiansburg.  The family would like to thank Blue Ridge Cancer Care and all the nurses at Good Samaritan Hospice who took special care of her.   Flowers are welcome or if you would prefer, please make donation to - Open Door Baptist Building Fund, PO Box 2524, Christiansburg, VA 24068.
